806 Day

806 Day celebrates the arts, food, and people who call The Panhandle, West Texas, and The South Plains home. Named after the area code covering from the top of the Texas Panhandle all the way past Lubbock, 806 Day highlights songwriters, bands, music venues, bars, chefs, food trucks, photographers, and artists.

After a successful inaugural year, we’ll be celebrating another 8/06, hopefully establishing a West Texas & Panhandle Tradition.

While we’ll be announcing our official lineup soon, this year’s 806 Day will again be at Bodine’s Cocktail Parlor, The Blue Light Live, and Shotgun Sue’s Saloon in Lubbock’s Depot District on Tuesday, August 06.

Last year’s lineup included 806 songwriters and bands Brandon Adams, Dalton Domino, Charlie Stout, Travis Roberts, Wade Parks, Jerry Serrano, Mason & The Gin Line, and Hub City Drifters, 806 artists Dirk Fowler, Zachary Nelson, Bristen Lee Phillips, El Ray, Charlie Stout, Carley du Menil, and writer/journalist Thomas Mooney—who dubbed August 06, as 806 Day.

Other 806 brands included are Friends BBQ, The Brewery LBK, Come and Drink It Texas, and The Burn Vodka.
